Country music will be featured from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the New Freeport fire hall. Bands scheduled to appear are Plumm Lost and Sam Longwell. The event, the final one until March 2015, is sponsored by the ladies auxiliary.

Gray Township will hold its fall cleanup for residents Oct. 25-Nov. 8. A dumpster will be available at the Gray Township Municipal Building from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for items such as appliances, sofas, mattresses and scrap metal. Nonacceptable items include tires, household garbage, concrete, rocks, dirt or combustible items such as paint or oil. Car batteries or oil filters are not acceptable. All appliances will be accepted in “as-is” condition. Please place them beside the dumpster.
