Parkway West ramp closing

The off-ramps at the Carnegie exit of the Parkway West (Interstate 376) will begin a long-term closure this weekend through the middle of December.
The inbound ramp will close at 10 p.m. Friday and the outbound ramp will close at 10 p.m. Saturday. Detours will be posted.
The closures are necessary due to inadequate deceleration lane distances for motorists to safely exit the highway.
Additionally, work will begin this week to eradicate lines and move barriers for the traffic to shift onto the newly constructed shoulders. The traffic shift will occur Friday night in the inbound direction and Saturday night on the outbound side. Lanes will remain narrowed to 10 1/2 feet.
