Paraphernalia charge: Ashley Mohr, 30, of 118 Belmont Ave., Canonsburg, will be charged by Canonsburg police with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found empty stamp bags of suspected heroin in her home. Police were called to the home Monday for an unresponsive woman and discovered Mohr apparently overdosed. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.
Vacant house burglarized: Canonsburg police said a vacant house on First Street was burglarized. The homeowner checked the property Monday and found copper pipes were stolen from the ceiling in several rooms. Ceiling tiles also were damaged. She told police she was at the house three days earlier.
Theft charge: Kayla Marie Navrat, 24, of 16 Weaver Lane, Scenery Hill, was charged Friday by state police with theft after she allegedly stole a wallet from Katelyn Eshbaugh, 30 Dogwood Drive, Canton, July 9. The wallet contained $300 and various cards. Eshbaugh learned of the theft when she was alerted on her cellphone her Starbuck’s card was being used. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Burglary: A vacant house at 415 Blue Jay Drive, Hendersonville, was forcibly entered before 8 p.m. Monday, township police said. The owner is Donald Mountain of Illinois and all of the copper pipes were replaced with PVC pipe, police said. Entry was made by kicking in a back door and nothing appeared to be missing.
Theft: Brian Homerosky, of 116 Aerial Drive, Canonsburg, reported a missing .40-caliber Glock handgun from his residence, township police said.
Drug charges: Fabria Lynn Scandolari, 31, of 118 S. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg, was charged Friday by Chartiers police with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia stemming from an Oct. 10 incident at a home at 720 W. Pike St. Police were called to the home for a possible overdose and found Scandolari. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Driver charged: Amy Dixon, 44, of 347 Coal St., McDonald, was charged last week by Chartiers police with fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving, failure to drive at a safe speed and having no insurance after she fled during an Oct. 6 traffic stop on Chartiers Run Road. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Escapes injury: Christopher Polan, 28, of 664 Western Ave., Chartiers, escaped injury Monday when his vehicle hydroplaned on water spewing from a water line break in the 500 block of Western Avenue, Chartiers police said. His vehicle hit a mailbox and tree.
DUI charge: Douglas G. Lange, 55, of Highfield Avenue, Canonsburg, was charged last week by Chartiers police with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was found passed out at the wheel of his vehicle that was in drive in the parking lot of the Elks lodge, 600 Ridge Ave., Oct. 14. His blood-alcohol content was almost double the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Vehicles entered: Chartiers police are investigating the report of two vehicles entered. Wayne McElhaney, of 203 Cummins Ave., reported $20 stolen from his pickup truck. Ken Hershberger, of 145 Allison Ave., reported a Coleman flashlight stolen from his vehicle.
Jailed in burglary: Joshua Cole, 34, of 203 Third Ave., Monongahela, is charged by city police with burglary, theft and criminal mischief, court records state. Police accuse him of stealing copper pipe and brass fittings last week from a house at 616 Ohio St. after prying open its front door. Cole is in Washington County jail on $25,000 set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Liquor violation: The operator of the Ole Hickory Inn, 125 Main St., was charged last week by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement with failing to make patrons leave after closing, permitting patrons to take alcohol from the premises after closing and selling alcohol between 2 and 7 a.m.
Theft: Kaylin Anne Lyon, 20, of 1479 Yorktown Drive, Lawrence, will be charged with theft following an incident at 11:27 a.m. Monday, at Quest Diagnostics, 1015 Waterdam Plaza Drive, McMurray, township police said. Lyon was there for laboratory tests when she asked to use the restroom, police said. While Lyon was in the restroom, an employee went to the break room and noticed her wallet missing from her purse, police said. During Lyon’s test, police said the employee found her wallet on top of Lyon’s purse with the money missing. When confronted, Lyon denied taking any money but then removed it from her bra, police said. There was a warrant for her arrest through the Washington County adult probation office and Lyon was immediately taken to the county jail, police said. The theft charge will be sent by summons.
Endangerment charge: Ashlie Eads, 38, of Windsong Lane, Canonsburg, will be charged with endangering the welfare of a child and public drunkenness after she was found with a 5-year-girl and an empty bottle of pure vanilla extract in the landscaping next to a vehicle in the parking lot of MedExpress, 3840 Washington Road at 11:01 a.m. Monday, township police said. Employees said Eads entered the building with the girl but was unable to locate her insurance cards after repeated attempts, police said. She left and sat on the ground next to a vehicle in the lot. The employees asked Eads to return and determined she may have been under the influence of alcohol. The child was released to her father. Eads will be charged by summons.
Drug charges: A man already in Washington County jail was charged with several drug violations stemming from a 2011 incident in Washington, according to an affidavit filed Monday in the office of District Judge James Ellis. State police in Belle Vernon charged Michael Anthony Cruz, 23, with criminal conspiracy, intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia from an incident July 7, 2011, at 202 Tyler Ave., Washington.
Club cited: The operators of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 927, 106 E. Maiden St., were cited Monday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allowing gambling Sept. 17.
Disorderly charge: Brandon Pinkerton, 27, of 40 Victoria St., Washington, was charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct after he refused to give offiers his personal information when they arrived Monday after getting a call to check the wel being of the residents. Police said Pinkerton and his girlfriend were reportedly arguing all day.
Warrant arrest: Andrew Crowley, 27, who police said is homeless, was arrested on warrants from Allegheny and Washington counties after he was found at the post office on Jefferson Avenue. Police said he gave them an incorrect name. He also had a credit card with another person’s name, a crack pipe and items that had been stolen from Walgreen’s, also on Jefferson. He was placed in Washington County jail on the warrants. He also will be charged with false reports, possession of paraphernalia and receiving stolen property.
Bicycle stolen: Brooke Zawatski of Washington told Washington police Monday her son’s Chaos BMX-style bicycle was stolen from outside 75 E. Maiden St. The bike is blue, green and black.
Windows broken: Jessica Brown of 341 Grove Ave. told Washington police Monday vandals broke windows on two of her vehicles.
