Municipalities set trick-or-treat times

The following are trick-or-treat times and parade schedules for various county communities.

In general, trick-or-treat is open to kids ages 12 & under. Residents who want to hand out treats should turn on their porch lights.

• Carmichaels Borough, 4 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 26;

• Cumberland Township, 4 to 6 p.m., Oct. 26;

• Franklin Township, 4 to 6 p.m., Oct. 30;

• Gray Township, 6 to 7 p.m., Oct. 31;

• Greene Township, 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31;

• Jefferson Township, 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 31;

• Morgan Township, 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31;

• Monongahela Township, 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31;

•Perry Township, 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 25 ;

• Springhill Township, 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31;

• Waynesburg Borough, 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 30.

• The annual Halloween parade in Carmichaels will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday in the town square.

The parade is open to children ages 12 & under. The two age groups – 6 & under and 7 to 12 – each will be judged in the categories of scariest, best witch, most original and judges’ choice.

Lineup will begin at 1:45 p.m. at the Yoskovich Funeral Home parking lot. The Carmichaels Area Junior-Senior High School marching band will lead the parade through town. Immediately following the parade, all children are invited to trick-or-treat through Brodak’s Shop ‘n Save in Carmichaels.

• Lions Club-sponsored parade in Waynesburg will be at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30. Parade begins at High and Morgan streets, proceeds west and disbands in the parking of PNC Bank at the corner of High and Morris streets.
