PennDOT announced work schedule

Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerome Simkovic announced the following tentative work plan for the week of Oct. 27. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis.
Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
The schedule is as follows:
• Scour protection improvements on various routes.
• Open grid deck repairs will begin on Route 2003, Crawford Field in Waynesburg.
• Side dozing activities are scheduled for Route 3011, Hargus Creek Road and Route 3014, Bluff Ridge Road.
• Base repairs are as follows: Route 4002, Route 21 and Route 18.
• Shoulder cutting and grading will be conducted on I-79 ramps in Kirby and Waynesburg.
• Washout repairs and shoulder stabilization are scheduled for Route 1011 from Jefferson to Clarksville.
• Patching continues on Route 21 from Junction Deli to Waynesburg and also Route 19 on Greene Street in Waynesburg.
• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
• The State Correctional Institution of Greene (CPW) will conduct roadside litter pick up operations on I-79, from Washington County line to West Virginia line. Please drive carefully when encountering this moving operation.
