CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) – The trial of a man charged with killing four people in Clarksburg has been delayed again.

Sidney Muller was scheduled to stand trial in November. Media outlets report Harrison County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Bedell agreed Friday to postpone the trial until mid-April.

Both the defense and prosecutors requested the continuance, saying they need more time to collect evidence.

Muller is charged with fatally shooting 29-year-old Todd Russell Amos, 26-year-old Christopher Hart, 70-year-old Fred Swiger and his son, 47-year-old Freddie Swiger.

Police say the shootings of Hart and Amos inside an apartment in July 2013 were drug-related. The Swigers were bystanders who were delivering newspapers.

Muller originally was scheduled to stand trial in late August.
