DUI arrest: Richard Lynn Hone, 57, of 2934 S Bridge Road, Washington, was arrested Monday night by state police on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper class of license after he was reportedly found in his disabled pickup truck that was partially blocking the right lane of Interstate 70 west between the Taylorstown and West Chestnut Street exits, Buffalo. Police said he did not submit to blood-alcohol testing. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Motorcyclist injured: Manuel G. Pihakis, 24, of Canonsburg, was injured when he crashed his motorcycle on Interstate 79 north near the Canonsburg exit, Canonsburg, about 6:45 p.m. Monday. State police said he was driving in the left lane at an extreme high speed trying to pass vehicles on the berm in an unsafe manner when he crashed his motorcycle. Both he and the bike landed in the median. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. Police said he will be charged with reckless driving.

Marijuana charges: Nikulaus S. Spanneth, 25, of Molalaia, Ore., and Rikki S. Champeau, 24, of Imperial, faces charges of possession of marijuana stemming from a traffic stop on Interstate 79 north, Cecil, about 9 p.m. Monday. Police stopped the vehicle for speeding and could smell marijuana after approaching the vehicle. The driver also will be charged with DUI of a controlled substance. Police confiscated the suspected marijuana. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.

Radio stolen: Brian Montecalvo, 240 Walnut St., told Chartiers police Sunday a silver radio was stolen from his garage.

Flooring stolen: Cheyanne Sanpietro, 390 Chartiers Run Road, told Chartiers police Friday laminate flooring was stolen from her home.

Molds stolen: Rudy Dinardo, 142 S. Johnston Road, told Chartiers police Friday two molds for parts and garbage cans were stolen from his property.

Trucker faces charges: Roy H. Augustine, 47, of Somerset, faces charges including driving under the influence of alcohol after he was reportedly found sleeping in the cab of his tractor-trailer, which was stopped on a curve in the left lane of Interstate 70 west near the Claysville exit, Donegal, about 10:45 p.m. Monday. Police said the emergency flashers were activated on the rig.

Assault, threats arrest: Richard Lee Vernon Jr., 27, of 27 Taylor Ave., Clarksville, was arrested Monday afternoon by East Bethlehem police stemming from an incident at his home. Vernon was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, terroristic threats and simple assault. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, Holly Dunn, and threatening his stepsister, Mary Schaum. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Identity stolen: Travis Cain of Waynesburg told North Franklin police Friday his identity was used to set up a cellphone account through one of the carriers at Washington Crown Center.

Tools stolen: Tools were reported stolen Monday from a construction trailer owned by North Woods Construction Co. of Orwell, Ohio, while it was parked on Highcroft Circle, township police said.

Warrant arrest: Jacob J. Newlon, 21, whose last known address was Brownsville, was placed in Washington County jail Monday on a warrant obtained by Uniontown police. Newlon was apprehended by Washington police after he allegedly stole a carton of cigarettes at Get Go, East Wylie Avenue, Monday. Uniontown police charged Newlon with criminal trespass, open lewdness and disorderly conduct for allegedly entering a home and exposing himself Oct. 13. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller, who set bond at $25,000.

Retail theft charge: Sandra Lynn Sheppard, 32, of 836 1/2 Duncan Ave., Washington, was charged Tuesday by Washington police with misdemeanor retail theft for allegedly stealing sunglasses from Family Dollar, 139 Highland Ave., last week. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Mischief charge: Leann Group, 28, of 1054 Jefferson Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a vehicle owned by a Washington woman while it was parked in the 800 block of Alley B Monday. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Car stolen: Amy Mays of New York told Washington police Monday that her blue, 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt was stolen from a parking lot at Washington & Jefferson College. The car had New York license GFX-7627.

Cable cut: Debbie Moore, 101 High St., told Washington police that vandals cut her Comcast cable line outside her home Monday.

Account accessed: Keon McLaughlin of South Main Street, Washington, told Washington police Monday that his PNC account was accessed and $500 to $600 in purchases were made at Toys R Us, Walgreen’s and PetCo. Police said the locations of the stores where the purchases were made was not clear.

Food stamp card stolen: Kristian Barfield, 220 1/2 Ridge Ave., Washington, told Washington police Monday her food stamp card was stolen from a counter at Lombardi Laundromat, Highland Avenue.

Welding leads stolen: Jeremy Conley, 569 Delaware Ave., told Washington police Monday 250 feet of welding leads valued at $800 were stolen from his truck while it was parked near his home.
