A Monessen man was arrested Friday by Charleroi Regional police after two bricks of suspected heroin and suspected marijuana were found inside a Charleroi home.
Lennie Anderson Jr., 51, was arrested on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
Police were called to 1005 Third St. for a report of a woman inside the house fighting with other people. When police arrived, the officer could hear screaming from inside the residence.
Brandie Sharpnack told police that Sara Houseman pushed past her and entered her home. Police said Anderson and Houseman were inside screaming at each other. Police placed the two in handcuffs.
While in the room, police said they could see what appeared to be two plastic bags inside a closet. Sharpnack reportedly gave police permission to search. After moving an article of clothing, police said they saw a bag that contained suspected heroin and another that contained suspected marijuana.
Anderson allegedly admitted to police that two bricks containing 122 stamp bags of suspected heroin belonged to him. Police said he told the officer that he wanted to “get out of the business and make better choices.”
He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 29 before District Judge Larry Hopkins.
