A driver suffered “major injuries” Tuesday morning when he crashed into a utility pole on S Bridge Road in South Franklin, causing his vehicle to roll several times and forcing the road to be closed for three hours, state police said.

Police said Seth J. Krenzelak, 19, of Prosperity, was speeding while driving south on S Bridge Road near Nicole Road when he lost control and crashed about 6:15 a.m.

Krenzelak was taken by ambulance to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh with unspecified injuries, police said. His condition was not known late Tuesday night.

The road was closed while crews repaired the utility lines and police investigated.
