Drug task force arrests McKeesport man

A McKeesport man who was the subject of a three-month investigation by the Washington County Drug Task Force was taken into custody just after noon Wednesday during a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Main Street in Washington.
Javen Carter, 24, had 145 stamp bags of suspected heroin along with $431 when he was taken into custody on the warrant issued by Washington County Judge Gary Gilman.
Investigators believe he had been selling heroin in the Washington area for several months.
Assisting in the investigation and taking Carter into custody were Washington, South Strabane Township and state police.
He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin. Carter was placed in Washington County hail on $50,000 bond.
