Charged in assault: Steven D. Lewis, 25, of Uniontown, was charged Wednesday by California police with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from what police termed a brawl early Sept. 11 at JColes Tavern on Third Street. Numerous people were reportedly fighting, and several were injured, including one who was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. Police said the incident is believed to be gang-related, and the investigation is continuing.

Power washer stolen: Eddie Moses of 428 Duquesne Ave. told Canonsburg police Tuesday his power washer was stolen from his home.

Truck stolen, recovered: Marcus A. Cimino of 216 Sugar Run Road, Independence, told state police Sunday his 2000 Ridge Ram pickup truck was stolen. It was located about a mile from his home.

Truck damaged: Brian M. Connolly of 1148 Scenic Drive, Independence, told state police Sunday his pickup truck was damaged when a rock was thrown at it.

Vehicle damaged: Shanna L. Woodson of Washington told North Franklin police Saturday her vehicle was damaged when four teenage boys jumped up on the hood and ran across it while she was in the drive-through at Taco Bell on West Chestnut Street.

Purse, prescription stolen: Nora Welch of 815 S. Main St., Bellmead Apartments, told North Franklin police Sept. 11 $184 and prescription medication were stolen from her purse in her apartment.

Warrant arrest: Nicholas Lesjak, 31, of Canonsburg, was taken into custody Wednesday morning on an adult probation warrant after he was located by state constables and probation officers at a McClelland Road convenience store, North Strabane police said. He was placed in Washington County jail.

One injured: Heatherlee Sittler of Hunker was injured Tuesday when her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Benjamin Pockl of Wheeling, W.Va., on eastbound Interstate 70 near the Murtland Avenue exit, South Strabane. Sittler went to Washington Hospital for treatment. State police will charge Pockl with careless driving.

Theft report: Deborah Thomas of Washington told city police her purse containing credit cards and $80 was stolen from her desk about noon Tuesday while she worked at Safe Haven, 240 North College St., police said.

Burglary report: A woman awoke about 3:25 a.m. Wednesday in her residence in the 600 block of Addison Street and saw a man in her bedroom. He attempted to leave through a window, but ran down stairs and out a door, city police said.
