Community Action Southwest’s adult education program is offering a free GED practice test to determine what skills people may need to pass the latest revised version of the test.
The free tests will be available only between Sept. 22 and Oct. 3.
Classes are taught every Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week at the Greene, Mon Valley and Washington PA CareerLink sites.
Additionally, classes are offered in Carmichaels, Burgettstown and Washington on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and in Carmichaels and Washington on Thursdays from 1 to 7 p.m. each week.
The agency’s adult education program assists residents age 17 or older to obtain their GED, increase their learning skills to secure employment or attend a trade school or college.
Upon enrollment and orientation, state-certified instructors work with students to determine the appropriate level of classes they will attend in addition to establishing their weekly class schedules.
Students enrolled in the Community Action Southwest program also partner with a trained case manager who will work with them on job development and trade school or college enrollment procedures.
Additional information about registering for classes is available at 1-877-814-0788, extension 539.
