WCHS grad receives engineering scholarship
WAYNESBURG – Jenna Henry, a 2014 summa cum laude graduate of Waynesburg Central High School, was recently named the recipient of the 2014 Wind Ridge Engineering Company Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded to a Greene County student who plans to pursue a degree in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, surveying or a related degree at an accredited school. It covers $750 for the freshman year and $1,250 for the sophomore year.
Henry will be attending West Virginia University in the fall, majoring in civil and environmental engineering. While at WCHS, Henry received the Anthony Ames Memorial Scholarship, the DAR Good Citizenship Award, Lions Club Girl of the Month Award and a 2014 Greene County 4-H Scholarship.
She is a daughter of Jamie and Cherie Henry of Waynesburg.
