A Brownsville teenager was arrested Saturday on a warrant obtained last week by Centerville police after he allegedly threatened an acquaintance earlier this month.
Tylar Malik Greenough, 18, of 302 National Ave., is accused of threatening Woodrow F. Giffin III with a knife outside the Victory Club in Denbo Sept. 7.
He also allegedly posted on Facebook that he would shoot Giffin.
Giffin told police he went to the club to pick up his father.
Greenough reportedly got into an argument with a bartender who asked him for identification.
Giffin reportedly walked out of the club with Greenough in an attempt to get the 18-year-old to calm down, at which point Greenough allegedly pulled a knife out of his back pocket, swung it at Giffin and yelled, “I am going to stab you.”
Greenough got into his vehicle and left the area. Giffin said he later saw Facebook posts reportedly by Greenough, threatening him and saying he would shoot him.
Greenough was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.
He was placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 7 before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
