A Good Friday service will be held from noon to 12:30 p.m. at the WWJD Center, located at 313 Jennings Ave., in west Waynesburg. The service is sponsored by the Waynesburg Ministerium. A cross walk will be led from the center to the First Church of the Nazarene by Martin Burns with various stops for prayer along the way.

Registration is being accepted through May 15 for the annual Salvation Army Greene County Fore Others Golf Outing. The outing will be held May 30 at the Greene County Country Club, located at 1044 Lippincott Road, Waynesburg. The format is a four-person scramble. The cost per team is $280 and includes a donut and beverage breakfast, and a roast beef and grilled chicken lunch with various sides, salad and beverages. Participants are asked to be at the course by 7:30 a.m. for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Lunch and a silent auction will begin immediately following the end of play. Prizes include: $280 for the first-place team, $140 for the second place team, skill prizes, and hole-in-one prizes.
