A spring gardening seminar, sponsored by Greene County Master Gardeners will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., April 11 in the 4H building at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Topics to be included are community supported agriculture, herbal therapies/interactions with medications; how to stay healthy while gardening; and worm composting. Cost is $14. Door prizes, vendors, free gardening magazines, a sale of soil testing kits and refreshments will be available. Registration is available through the Penn State Cooperative Extension Office at 724-627-3745.

A dinner/dance will be held May 16 at Carmichaels fire hall with cocktails served at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. The event is being held to support athletics in Carmichaels Area School District. Admittance is $75. Entertainment will be provided by Pittsburgh comedian/D.J. Mark Batis. For additional information, call 724-966-2636.
