United Way to hold ‘Greene Cuisine’ event

The Greene County United Way is planning its second annual “Greene Cuisine” event April 20 at the Pennsylvania Army National Guard Readiness Center in Franklin Township.
The event will include samplings from a variety of area chefs and restaurants, including Bread Wagon Catering, Buy Local Buy Greene, Chatty Cupcakes, Don Patron Mexican Restaurant, Hot Rod’s House of BBQ, Hungarian Smokehouse, Sorella’s Pizzeria, Stokes General Merchandise and Willow Tree Farms Bakery. There will also be wine tastings offered by Thistlethwaite Vineyards.
In addition to food samplings, attendees can also enjoy live music or try to win raffle prizes that include a Disney package, Colorado getaway, Steelers package, Pennsylvania Lottery basket, Vera Bradley basket, golf package and others.
The event will last from 6 to 8 p.m. inside the Readiness Center located at 500 EverGreene Drive, Waynesburg. Admission is $25 per person and reservations can be made by calling 724-852-1009. There is still room for sponsorship levels and last-minute restaurants and caterers.
Checks can be made to Greene County United Way and mailed to 748 E. High St., Waynesburg, PA 15370. The event is sponsored by First Federal Savings & Loan and Baily Insurance Agency.
