• Action: The board accepted the promotion of police Sgt. Rich Egizio to lieutenant. Egizio is a 15-year member of the police department.

The board authorized the hiring of Cindy Alexander as new township finance administrator.

A motion was approved to award a contract of $462,885 to Youngblood Paving for work on Parkwood Circle and Pleasant, Monaco, Sunnycrest, Meadowcrest and Hillcrest drives. The project is funded by the state Department of Transportation liquid fuels fund. Also approved was a contract to Youngblood for work on Fawcett Church Road, the township building parking lot and extensive work on King Road.

The board awarded a contract to Morgan Excavating for $427,396 for a retaining wall project on Coleman Road.

A $250 donation was given to American Legion Post 793.

Township manager Donald A. Gennuso will solicit proposals for web design and management services for the township’s website.

The board approved the purchase of playground equipment and a safety surface for Cecil Park in the amount of $76,785. Board members also approved the purchase of playground equipment for younger children for approximately $10,000.

• Discussion: A discussion of occupancy and right-of-way access by non-utility companies led to the board considering model ordinances in order to notify members of activity on township roads and properties.

The board is looking for residents interested in being a part of a committee that will work on a comprehensive plan for the township. Those interested are asked to call the township building.

The board will discuss the possibility of constructing a new public works building at its next meeting.
