Assault charges: Denzell Sipe, 21, of York, was arrested Monday night by California University of Pennsylvania police stemming from an incident at Guesman Hall, 450 Burds Way. Cal U. police were called with borough police for a fight on Second Street. Borough police planned to cite Sipe for disorderly conduct and harassment. After he returned to his room, he allegedly called 911 demanding to see police and refused to get off the telephone. Police said they responded to the hall, and as they were leaving, Sipe tried to kick a borough officer. Sipe was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson on charges of aggravated and simple assault, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond.
Vehicle vandalized: Gary Sladik of 417 Ridge Ave. told Canonsburg police Monday his vehicle was vandalized.
Paraphernalia charge: Donald Wright Jr. of 529 McGovern Road will be charged by Chartiers police with possession of paraphernalia. Police said a needle was found after he overdosed on heroin early Tuesday. They said Wright admitted to using three stamp bags of the drug. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Warrant arrest: Ashley M. Chalfant, 24, of 322 Second St., Charleroi, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge David Mark on a warrant stemming from a possession of paraphernalia charge filed after a March 23 traffic stop by state police at the intersection of Racetrack Road and Pike Street in Chartiers. Mark set bond at $10,000 for Chalfant, who is in Westmoreland County jail on other charges.
Motorcyclist injured: Thomas Graziani, 50, of Pittsburgh, was injured when his motorcycle was hit by a car driven by Carlie Cousins, 18, of Avella, about 7 p.m. Sunday on Route 50 at County Park Road, Cross Creek, state police said. Police said Cousins crossed the center line. Graziani was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital. Police said charges including driving under the influence are pending the results of blood testing of Cousins.
Tractor hits tree: William Barnhart, 82, of Washington, escaped injury Friday when his tractor went over a downed tree limb on Burnsville Ridge Road, traveled off the road and hit a tree near Green Haven Road, East Finley. State police said he will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
Drug arrest: Deborah Pishko, 39, of Perryoplis, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant obtained as part of last week’s drug sweep by Monongahela police. Charges of possession of heroin and paraphernalia were filed against her in connection with a March 15 traffic stop on Main Street in New Eagle. Police said a bundle of heroin was found in her pants pocket. Police said they also found empty stamp bags and a straw. Pishko was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Counterfeit money found: State police at The Meadows Casino reported a counterfeit $10 bill, $20 bill and $100 bill were passed at the casino during the last week.
Rubbish dumped: Dylan Huseman, 23, of Washington, and Stephen Garrity, 21, of Bentleyville, will be charged by state police with scattering rubbish after they allegedly were caught dumping household refuse at an illegal dump site on Bedillion Road near Vista Valley Road, South Franklin, April 4. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
One injured: Maria Romesburg, 80, of Fairway Landings Drive, Cecil, was injured April 7 in a two-vehicle crash on Route 19 at Old Mill Boulevard, South Strabane police said. She was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Evangaline Burke, 55, of Springdale Road, Eighty Four, whose car was struck by a vehicle driven by Francis Graff, 70, of Clinton. Police said Clinton was going south on Route 19 when he went through a red light, hitting Burke as she pulled from Old Mill.
Suspects sought: Washington police are looking for the occupants of a white Ford Explorer who reportedly pulled a gun on two people in Washington’s West End about 10:40 p.m. Monday. An officer was flagged down by a young woman on McCarrell Avenue who said a gun was pointed at her by occupants of a vehicle that passed her. The same vehicle had just passed the officer. After learning it turned onto Buena Vista Street, police were told by a man and a woman the vehicle almost ran them off the road. Police later received a report the occupants went to a home in the 600 block of Addison Street and pointed a rifle at the head of one of the residents before leaving.
Door damaged: Vandals damaged the front door at Mega Express, 326 Ridge Ave., Monday, Washington police said.
Marijuana charge: Dustin M. Jenkins, 22, of Washington, will be charged by state police with possession of marijuana stemming from a traffic stop Monday at the intersection of Broad Street and McCarrell Avenue, Washington. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
