A “Social Media and Your Child” event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Margaret Bell Miller Middle School auditorium in Waynesburg to show parents, grandparents, caregivers and teachers from area districts how to access and communicate on various social media platforms. The event is being presented by the school’s Student Assistance Program and Olweus No-Bully Team.

The Central Greene School District Relay for Life team and Waynesburg Women of the Moose would like to invite you to Quartermania coming up this Saturday. More than 60 items will be up for bid. The items include Vera Bradley accessories, Steelers items, summer supplies and much more. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. The doors open at noon and the event begins at 12:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person and includes one bidding paddle. Participants are encouraged to bring many quarters to the event.

The Greene County Human Services Department is holding a free three-hour training session for caregivers from 9 a.m. to noon on April 30 at the Greene County Fairgrounds 4-H building. Participants can learn about what’s in a young person’s backpack and how to keep your medications safe. Information will be presented by Greene County Drug & Alcohol Program and Value Behavioral Health. A light breakfast will be served. Foster parents will receive three hours toward required training.
