Greene pleaders

WAYNESBURG – A number of criminal defendants pleaded guilty Monday and Tuesday before Greene County Judge Farley Toothman and were sentenced.
Lemuel Thomas Redmon, 34, of Marshall, Texas; offenses – driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense in 10 years; disorderly conduct, three summary traffic violations; Redmon was stopped for a traffic violation Dec. 1, 2013; he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.156 percent; sentence – one year in the county intermediate punishment program, with the first 30 days in house arrest; $850 in fines; 50 hours of community service; Redmon was given until May 30 to report to Harrison County, Texas, to apply to have his supervision transferred there.
Teddy Allen Bryant, 23, of 39 Route 88 Mobile Home Court, Carmichaels; offenses – possession of a controlled substance; charges of possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy were withdrawn; on July 5, 2013, a confidential informant working with the Cumberland Township police made arrangements to buy an ounce of marijuana from Bryant; police stopped the vehicle in which he was a passenger and found the marijuana; sentence – one year of probation, $300 fine, 75 hours of community service.
Michael Lewis Jones, 51, of 437 Sheridan Avenue, Nemacolin; offense – possession of a controlled substance; a charge of possession with intent to deliver was withdrawn; on May 8, Cumberland Township police found 50 marijuana plants growing in his basement; sentence – one year of probation, $500 fine, 75 hours of community service.
Joseph William Miller, 26, of 115 Bobtown Road, Bobtown; offense – theft; between July 11 and Aug. 20, Miller stole $2,279.36 in cash and $850 in goods from the BFS Store in Mt. Morris, where he was employed as a cashier; sentence – 54 days to 23 ½ months in jail, with credit for 54 days served; $300 fine, 250 hours of community service, restitution.
Kregg Elbert Allen, 43, of 1000 Breakneck Road, Connellsville; offenses – DUI and a summary traffic violation; Allen was arrested Sept. 8 after crashing his tri-axle dump truck on Pettit Road, Richhill Township; he had a BAC of 0.232; sentence – 48 hours to six months in jail; $775 in fines; 125 hours of community service.
Tracy Lee Bowen, 45, of 129 Maple St., Dilliner; offenses – DUI and five summary traffic violations; on Nov. 9, Bowen crashed into two parked vehicles on Larimer Avenue in Bobtown; he had a BAC of 0.300; sentence – 72 hours to six months in jail; $1,285 in fines, 50 hours of community service, restitution.
William Brady Morgan Pratt, 23, of 228 W. Church St., Masontown; offenses – possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia; a charge of possession with intent to deliver was withdrawn; Pratt was stopped by Cumberland Township police Aug. 22 on a Fayette County bench warrant, he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana, eight stamp bags of heroin and a scale; sentence – time served to 23 ½ months in jail; he was in jail for 36 days; $300 fine, 150 hours of community service.
Jeremie Eugene Fletcher, 22, of 306 Mt. Harmon Road, Fairview, W.Va.; offenses – theft, conspiracy, corruption of a minor, criminal mischief; on Nov. 4, 2013, Fletcher and juvenile stole an all-terrain vehicle from a home on Hillside Lane in Spraggs; three other ATVs were damaged; sentence – three to 12 months in jail, credit for 20 days served; $750 in fines, restitution, 225 hours of community service.
Roy Allen Bennington Jr., 39, of 190 Center Highland Road, Waynesburg; offenses – possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia; on July 17, 2013, police found 44 marijuana plants and growing equipment in his garage; sentence – three years in the county intermediate punishment program with the first six months on house arrest; $750 fine, 75 hours of community service.
Angie Marie Cox, 23, of 346 N. Porter St., Waynesburg; offenses – one count delivery of a controlled substance; four counts of deliver, five counts each of possession with intent to deliver and possession and one count criminal use of a communications facility were withdrawn; between Sept. 25, 2013 and March 17, 2014, agents with the attorney general’s office made five controlled buys from Cox, purchasing a total of 106 stamp bags of heroin; the case is being prosecuted by the attorney general; sentence – following preparation of a pre-sentence report.
