Illegal firearm charge: State police charged Richard J. Riley, 41, of 342 Gun Hill Road, Wind Ridge, with possession of a firearm with altered numbers, disorderly conduct and firearms not to be carried without a license early Monday following a disturbance in West Virginia. Pennsylvania State Police said they were called to Marshall County after sheriff’s deputies there were dispatched upon hearing shots fired about 4 a.m. Investigators said they found Riley in possession of a 9mm handgun with the serial numbers filed off. Riley was arraigned by District Judge Lou Dayich and taken to Greene County jail on $35,000 cash bond.
Harassment citation: State police cited Jason Salisbury, 27, of 210 Holbert Stretch Road, Dilliner, for harassment after troopers said he shoved a person and pulled them to the ground during an incident March 28 at his Dunkard Township home. Police did not identify the alleged victim.
Car vandalized: Daniel W. Hall, 23, of 401 S. Moreland St., Bobtown, was charged with criminal mischief after state police said he used a rock to break a car window and dent its hood while parked along Larimer Avenue in Dunkard Township on March 7. Police filed the charge through District Judge Lee Watson’s office April 7.
Theft charge: Cody D. Kisner, 22, of 124 Orchard Ave., Brave, was charged with theft on April 7 after state police said he stole tools from a natural gas drilling well pad located on Roberts Run Road in Gilmore Township. Police said Kisner put the tools in the bed of his pickup truck before crashing about two miles east of the drill site in the early hours of Feb. 19. Police did not say if Kisner was injured in the crash.
Theft, receiving stolen property charge: Ryan C. O’Hara, 24, of 92 S. West St., Waynesburg, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after borough police said he stole $490 from a man’s wallet while staying at 240 S. Cumberland Ave. in the early hours of Feb. 4. Charges were filed through District Judge Lou Dayich’s office April 8.
