OHIOPYLE (AP) – The body of a man who fell into a Western Pennsylvania river and over a waterfall while posing for a picture was found about five miles downstream.

The Fayette County coroner’s office Friday confirmed the body found Thursday is that of 20-year-old Michael Davila Jr.

He climbed over an observation deck railing at Ohiopyle State Park about 11:15 a.m. March 18, but slipped on ice. He fell into the Youghiogheny River and went over the 20-foot Ohiopyle Falls below. The coroner ruled Davila’s death a drowning.

Park Manager Ken Bisbee said a guide from Wilderness Voyagers found the body about 5:10 p.m. Thursday.

The family was notified and asked to identify the body shortly thereafter.
