ALTOONA, Pa. (AP) — Police say the owner of a McDonald’s restaurant in central Pennsylvania was attacked after locking out a group of unruly teenagers.

The Altoona Mirror reports (http://bit.ly/1bAT1ba ) Gerald Harrington was assaulted after he refused entrance to as many as 40 teenagers who showed up outside his Altoona restaurant Thursday afternoon.

The newspaper reports he’d been concerned following a disturbance the day before.

Altoona police Corporal Daniel Noel says Harrington was trying to take pictures of the crowd when someone smacked the phone out of his hand. Noel says the smacker and four or five other teens then assaulted Harrington.

Harrington did not appear badly hurt.

Three minors were taken into custody on charges of simple assault and other offenses.
