PITTSBURGH (AP) – The mother of a 2-year-old Pennsylvania girl found dead in a ravine June 14 is set to face a hearing on charges she killed the girl after becoming angry about helping the toddler clean herself after using the toilet.

Friday’s hearing for 26-year-old Adriene Williams, of Wilkinsburg, will determine whether there’s enough probable cause of her to stand trial on criminal homicide and other charges in the death of her daughter, Adrionna.

Police say Williams smothered Adrionna, then dumped her body in a ravine in nearby Swissvale. A dog walker found the body about 40 minutes after other relatives reported Adrionna missing.

An attorney for Williams didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment Friday.
