Hit-and-run crash: Brandon James Nicotra, 19, of 29 E. Pitt St., Canonsburg, will be charged by Canonsburg police in connection with a hit-and-run crash early Saturday in which he and a passenger, Christopher Michael Sheets, 23, of 433 Adams Ave., Canonsburg, were injured. Police said Nicotra was driving at a high rate of speed when he reportedly struck a vehicle in the 500 block of Euclid Avenue. That vehicle then struck a parked pickup truck before fleeing the scene. Police said Nicotra fled on foot after the crash. He called 911 about 90 minutes after the crash. Both he and Sheets were taken to Canonsbrug Hospital for treatment. Police said it is unclear why the vehicle hit by Nicotra fled the scene.
Assault arrest: Michon Elise Jackson, 35, of 513 Valley View Terrace, Canonsburg, was arrested early Monday by Canonsburg police for allegedly assaulting Ashley Turney during a confrontation at their home. Jackson was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault and harassment. She was placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
House burglary: Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at 2075 980 Road, McDonald, Sunday. According to reports, the resident, Micheal Fitzgerald, told police a 42-inch television and Play Station with games were taken.
Fraudulent charges: Anthony Boggio, 68 Maple St., Muse, told police Friday someone made three fraudulent charges each totaling $300 on his Fairview Federal Credit Union account at three different stores in Beaver Falls.
Interfering with custody: Rashaun A. Smith, 21, of 7 S. McKean Ave., Donora, was arrested Saturday afternoon by Donora police on charges of interfering with custody of a minor and disorderly conduct after he reportedly took a 9-year-old girl from his home without permission. He reportedly picked her up and carried her to the street. She was later returned by another family member. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Marijuana possession: Hunter Vadella, 18, of 403 Route 88, Elco, was arrested Friday night by Roscoe-Elco-Stockdale-Allenport regional police stemming from a traffic stop on Route 88 in Dunlevy. Vadella was a passenger when police found him with suspected marijuana and paraphernalia. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was released from Washington County jail after posting $10,000 bond.
False ID, drug arrest: Eric R. Kenny, 20, of Wellsburg, W.Va., was arrested Saturday by Hanover police on charges of possession of cocaine and paraphernalia, false identification, carrying false identification, underage drinking and disorderly conduct. Police originally checked him after noticing he was drinking beer at First Niagara Pavilion. He had identification with someone else’s name on it. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
Assault, trespass arrest: Jeffrey Zabroski, 47, of Elizabeth, was arrested Saturday by Monongahela police after he allegedly entered a home at 112 Church St., Monongahela, without permission, got into a confrontation with another man and then assaulted his 74-year-old mother-in-law when she reportedly tried to break it up. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of criminal trespass, simple assault and terroristic threats. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
DUI arrest: Mateo Felix, 27, who has no known address, was arrested by Peters Township police during a traffic stop Sunday on Route 19 near DeMar Boulevard. Peters police were assisting North Strabane police, who were tied up on another call. He was seen almost hitting a barrier on Route 19 near Meadowbrook Drive. Police said Felix had a fake Texas identification card. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, having false identification and not having a license. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Retail theft: Three power drills, valued at $169 each, were stolen Saturday from Miller’s Ace Hardware, 4275 Washington Road, McMurray. According to reports, a man came into the store with a camoflauge jacket tucked in his arm. He went to the section where the drills were located and put on his jacket and left the store a few minutes later. Store employees became suspicious and noticed the drills were missing.
Drug arrest: Police arrested Erik Hancock, 27, of Oriole Drive, Hendersonville, Sunday, in the parking lot of Max & Erma’s, 4093 Washington Road, McMurray. He is accused of smoking marijuana in the restaurant parking lot. Hancock will be charged via summons.
Three injured: Three men were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday night on Route 88 at Lake Street, Union, Southwest Regional police said. Eric John Cross, 19, of Bethel Park, told police he was going north when he tried to pass another vehicle and crashed into a southbound vehicle driven by Thomas A. Delsandro, 61, of Donora. Cross was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital. Delsandro was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital. William Piper, 18, of Elizabeth, who was a passenger in Cross’ vehicle, was taken to Jefferson Hospital.
Windshield damaged: Robert Cerar of South Park told Southwest Regional police Thursday the windshield of his vehicle was smashed by vandals.
Assault arrest: Rodney Maze, 28, of 106 Burton Ave., Washington, was arrested by Washington police on three counts of aggravated assault as well as one count each of resisting arrest, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after officers took him home when he and another man reportedly caused a disturbance at the intersection of South Main and Maiden streets. He reportedly struggled with the officers at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and released from Washington County jail after posting $25,000 bond.
Purse stolen: Lauren Mercer, of Canton Township, told Washington police Friday her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at the intersection of Hallam and Allison avenues.
Watch, sunglasses stolen: Lauren Houston of 356 Maple Ave., Washington, told Washington police Friday her watch and sunglasses were stolen from her vehicle.
Prostitution charge: Jessica Corcoran, 32, of 1090 Michigan Ave., Washington, will be charged with prostitution after she allegedly responded to a text and offered to perform a sex act on a Washington police officer Sunday.
Assault charge: Heather Woodring, 39, of 424 Phillips Ridge Road, Spraggs, will be charged with simple assault and harassment after she allegedly struck Russell Byrd in the face with a closed fist, causing visible injury. Upon arriving at 670 Addison St., Washington, for an assault report Saturday, police could not locate Woodring. A complaint was filed Monday with District Judge Robert Redlinger, and charges will be sent by summons.
