PITTSBURGH -A speeding stolen car crashed in Pittsburgh, injuring four people, including two children.

Police said the chase began shortly before midnight Monday in either Stowe Township or McKees Rocks, neighboring suburbs just west of the city.

Pittsburgh police were advised of the chase, but it was unclear whether city officers joined in before the car crashed on Route 51 near the base of Mount Washington.

Emergency dispatchers said the car was traveling faster than 100 mph.

Dispatchers said the two kids, ages 11 and 13, were believed to be in serious condition when taken to hospitals.
