Bar cited: The operators of Good Times on Tap, 907 Main St., Bentleyville, were charged Monday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement with furnishing alcohol to a visibly intoxicated person in July.

Two charged: Deontae Dupree Smith, 22, of Aliquippa, and Zachary Taylor Hooks, 22, of Freedom, were charged by California police following a report of a fight early Sunday at 414 Green St. Smith allegedly claimed to have a gun and threatened to shoot it. The two were later found when police responded to a disturbance at Vulcan Village. Smith was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond. Hooks, an offensive lineman on the California University of Pennsylvania football team, will be charged with disorderly conduct.

Cruelty to animals charge: Dion Clayton Haines, 30, of California, will be charged by California police with cruelty to animals after he allegedly was seen about 6 p.m. Sunday disciplining his dog in a cruel and unusual manner outside 319 Rear Fifth St. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Woman groped: A Canonsburg woman told Canonsburg police Sunday night she was groped by a man wearing a white “do-rag,” white tank top and black pants in front of an Euclid Avenue convenience store. She told police she hit him with a grocery bag and ran.

PFA violation alleged: Brad Linhart, 28, of 187 ½ Maple Ave., Washington, was arrested Saturday by state police for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse order after he allegedly contacted Nicole Shuba at her Canton home. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and released from Washington County jail Monday after posting $25,000 bond.

Assault arrest: James G. Megyesy, 45, of 806 Governors Circle, Chartiers, was arrested by township police for allegedly grabbing Tina Weinzen by the hair and arms during an argument at his home Sunday. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Two arrested: Louis G. Vasquez, 53, of 810 Crest Ave., Monessen, and Kali Rubino, 25, of 811 Meadow Ave., Charleroi, were arrested Thursday night by Donora police after police said they were found in a house at 328 Rear Castner Ave., Donora. Police were notified after the landlord saw lights on inside the building. Rubino was evicted from the home Aug. 11. Police said they also found drug paraphernalia. Both were arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of criminal trespass and possession of paraphernalia. Both were placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Burglary arrest: Devin J. Gordon, 19, of 893 Rocky Run Road, West Finley, was arrested by state police on charges of burglary, theft and criminal trespass for allegedly entering the home of Arthur Bird II, 112 Willow Road, East Finley, and stealing $450. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Fraud reported: Terry Tackett of Imperial told McDonald police Sunday he used his credit card at the BP station, 201 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, Saturday. He later received a call from his bank informing him his credit card number was used to make two purchases at different locations.

Money stolen: Jeffrey and Brandon Deveaney, of 139 S. McDonald St., told McDonald police Sunday $455 in rent money was stolen from their residence.

Assault arrest: Holly Wargo, 41, of 131 Latimer Ave., Strabane, was arrested early Saturday by North Strabane police on charges of aggravated assault and harassment for allegedly striking one of two officers called for a domestic dispute at her home. Police said Wargo, who they said was intoxicated, wanted her husband removed from the home. She was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Teens face charges: A 17-year-old Burgettstown boy and 15-year-old North Strabane girl face charges after they were found inside a vehicle that crashed into a guardrail on Route 19 near Washington Road early Saturday. The boy faces a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after admitting to police he smoked marijuana. The girl will be charged with possession of paraphernalia after she was found with a used needle, police said. Both were taken to Canonsburg Hospital.

Theft from vehicle: Someone stole a laptop valued at $500 from an unsecured vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 100 block of Jonathan Drive in McMurray Friday. Police took fingerprints.

Two laptops stolen: The owner of an unsecured vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 200 block of Center Church Road in McMurray reported two Dell laptops and an undisclosed amount of change were missing Friday.

Mac theft: A resident of the 200 block of Quail Run Road in Venetia told police Saturday her Apple Mac was stolen from her unsecured vehicle.

Comics reported stolen: About 600 comic books valued between $20,000 and $30,000 were reported missing Friday from the basement of Energy Products, 3970 Washington Road, McMurray. The owner told police he last remembered seeing the comic books in May.

Multiple arrests and citations: Twelve minors were charged with summary trespass Saturday at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2900 Washington Road, McMurray. Police said they found a group of teenagers in the cemetery and smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Police charged Jonathan Despines, 18, of Thompsonville Road, McMurray, who was with the group, with possession of marijuana, possession with intent, trespassing and underage drinking. Police said they also stopped Nicholas Schaeffer, 18, of Church Hill Road, Venetia, who was trying to drive away at a high speed, and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia, trespassing and underage drinking.

Two-vehicle accident: Police said a vehicle driven by Joseph Celio, 85, of West College Street, Canonsburg, struck the cab of a semi driven by Frank Rudzienski, 42, of Fairview Street, Uniontown, at 2859 Washington Road Friday. Police said Rudzienski was northbound in the curb lane when his truck was struck by Celio. Celio was taken to Washington Hospital complaining of head and back pain.

Rear-end accident: A vehicle driven by Aaron Herring, 32, of Penn Street, Washington, struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Ebony Kinsell, 41, of Library Road, Bethel Park, Saturday. Police said Kinsell was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Valley Brook and East McMurray roads when her vehicle was struck by Herring’s car. Kinsell complained of neck pain following the accident.

Theft arrest: Matthew Filicky, 36, of Uniontown, was arrested Sunday on a warrant obtained by McDonald police on charges of theft by deception and receiving stolen property. He is accused of billing more than $3,000 in purchases at three Advance Auto Parts stores in Fayette County to the account of Golden Triangle, 8555 Old Steubenville Pike, Robinson. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Three face charges: Jeremy M. Anesetti, 23, of 538 Hickory Lane, Houston; Sean D. Camp Jr., 23, of 2002 Meadowridge Drive, Washington, and Ryan Lee Duritza, 21, of 301 Mary Lane, North Strabane Township, all face charges for their alleged roles in either stealing items or returning stolen items for gift cards at Walmart, Trinity Point, Aug. 25. All three will be charged with theft by deception, retail theft and conspiracy. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Medication stolen: Melia McCloskey, of 862 Beech St., told South Strabane police Saturday medication was stolen from her home.

Five face charges: Richard Welsh Jr., 29, of Pittsburgh; Yvonne Wier, 49, of 29 Gardner St., Avella; Melissa Welsh, 28, of 20 Scout Drive, Washington; Daniel McCullough, 36, of Wheeling, W.Va.; and Kyle Hilderbrand, 21, of 180 Old Scales Road, Washington, all will be charged by South Strabane police with harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from a fight Thursday at the park-n-ride on East Beau Street.

Truck crashes: Jeffrey A. Chismar, 56, of Derry, escaped injury Thursday night when his tanker went up a concrete barrier and rolled on the ramp to Interstate 70 at the Speers interchange. He was charged with accidents involving overturned vehicle, careless driving and failure to stay in his lane.

Assault charge: Aujah Lynn Wade, 23, of 121 Church St., Washington, was arrested Saturday night by Washington police on charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct after she allegedly hit Angela Waters in the head with an unknown object at 12 E. Prospect St. as Waters tried to get Wade’s dog off her puppy. She was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

False ID charge: Robert Sypolt III, 23, of Clairton, will be charged with giving police false identification after he reportedly gave them a different name while he and a companion were being asked about allegedly stealing a candy bar and energy drink from Shop ‘n Save. He was placed in Washington County jail on an adult probation warrant.

Textbook stolen: Audrey Ford, of 17 W. Chestnut St., told Washington police Friday her daughter’s nursing textbook was stolen after it was delivered to their home.

Paraphernalia charge: Joseph Russo, 32, of 140 Hall Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with possession of paraphernalia after officers were called to 20 Cumberland Ave., where police said he overdosed. He reportedly was revived with the help of Narcan. Police said he had five syringes in a bag and one under his arm.

Burglary attempt: An attempt was made Friday to break into Church of Christ, 700 Allison Ave., Washington police said. A skinny white man wearing a hooded shirt is seen on surveillance trying to get into the building.

Laptop stolen: Raeanna DeWitt, of Sharp Street, told Washington police Saturday she loaned her laptop to an acquaintance who has not returned it. Charges are pending.

Driver sought: Washington police identified the driver who allegedly fled after a traffic stop about 11:25 p.m. Saturday on Catfish Alley inCanton Avenue. Police said they found two bags of suspected crack, several cellphones, a scale, ash and paraphernalia in the vehicle. Two occupants were questioned and released. Police said the 24-year-old driver, who remains at large, also is wanted on a parole violation.

Warrant arrest: Nikita Hoberek, 26, of Chartiers Township, was taken into custody on a bench warrant Sunday by Washington police at Dollar General, 101 E. Wylie Ave.

Possession charge: Quorteze D. Levy, 20, of 128 Central Ave., Washington, will be charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana after state police stopped the car in which he was a passenger for an expired registration June 9. Police said Levy had the marijuana in plain view. The charge will be sent by summons.

Drug conspiracy charges: Two Washington men are charged with criminal conspiracy of possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with a July 3 incident. A Washington police officer was driving on Catfish Alley when he observed Bradley Smith, 42, of 84 W. Wheeling St., walking from 150 Hart Ave. According to police, Smith turned and walked in the opposite direction upon seeing the police car. Police said they saw Smith apparently hiding behind 150 Hart Ave., where an informant said heroin was being dealt. When police searched Smith for weapons, they said they found two glassine bags of suspected heroin. Police then knocked on the door of 150 Hart Ave. and received written permission to search the property, where they allegedly found several items of drug paraphernalia. Police said they also found Timothy J. Scott, 29, of 81 Third St., in possession of two Suboxone films. Smith also was charged with possession with intent to deliver. Charges will be sent by summons.

Anvil stolen: Andy Paul Farkas of 190 Deems Park Road, West Pike Run, told state police Thursday an antique anvil was stolen from his yard.
