Charged in crash: Cassandra Marie Hirosky, 27, of Jollick Manor, Washington, was charged Thursday by state police in connection with a Nov. 26 crash in the 500 block of East National Pike, Amwell. Hirosky is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of marijuana, failure to stay in her lane, careless driving, leaving the scene and failure to notify police of the crash. Police said her blood-alcohol content was more than double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Woman assaulted: J’sen Pollard, 38, of Canonsburg, will be charged by Canonsburg police with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched Emily Markle in the back of the head during a confrontation at his home Thursday. She was treated at Canonsburg Hospital. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Business break-in: Someone pried open the doors of H. Financial Management and Southpointe Financial Services, both at 400 Southpointe Boulevard, on Dec. 3. Stamps, credit cards and a personal check were reported missing.

Club cited: The operators of the Legion Club of Fredericktown, East Bethlehem, were cited Friday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement with possessing or operating gambling devices stemming from an Oct. 1 incident.

Purses, backpacks stolen: An employee of Michael Kors, Tanger Outlets, told South Strabane police Thursday that three teenage girls stole three backpacks and two purses valued at $1,515. The three are suspected of stealing items from the store in the past, police said.

Items stolen: Michelle Radachy of Washington told Washington police Thursday that eight boxes of 12-gauge buckshot, a box of .380-caliber bullets and box of bullets for a .22-caliber magnum were stolen from her vehicle while it was at Stainbrooks Auto Body, 55 W. Railroad St.

Door damaged: Gale King of 769 Broad St. told Washington police Thursday the door to her home was damaged during a break-in attempt. Charges are pending.

Drug charges: A Washington man was placed in Washington County jail on charges of selling cocaine to a confidential informant four years ago. According to court documents, Tyrone Staples, 38, of East Maiden Street, was initially arrested May 20, 2011, on East Maiden by a state trooper and charged with two counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. Staples was arraigned Thursday before District Judge James Ellis, who set bond at $10,000. Staples has a preliminary hearing 1 p.m. Dec. 17 before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
