State police: Car hits 2 pedestrians, killing 1
GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — State police say a car struck two men crossing a street in western Pennsylvania, killing one and injuring the other.
The Westmoreland County coroner’s office says 32-year-old Robert Yednak Jr. and 59-year-old John Sassone were attempting to cross Business Route 66 in Hempfield Township on Friday evening when they were struck by a Honda Civic.
Troopers say Yednak was pronounced dead at the scene. Sassone was taken to a hospital with leg injuries.
The investigation in ongoing. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday. No further details were immediately released.
