Assault charge: Jordan Ivill, 28, of 115 Church St., Bentleyville, is charged by state police with simple assault and harassment, accused of striking Ariel Holmes in the upper back about 1 a.m. Monday in his residence, court records show. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Disorderly house citation: Torrie Brown, 23, of Grove City, was charged Monday by California police with violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance for allegedly hosting a loud gathering early Sunday at 55 Fourth St. He was placed in Washington County jail on a bench warrant from another county.

Business burglarized: The owner of Sunsational Tans and Spa, 593 W. Pike St., told Canonsburg police that money was stolen from his business during a burglary early Saturday. The burglar, who was wearing a hooded shirt and possibly a ski mask, is seen on surveillance entering the building about 2:35 a.m. Cash was stolen from the register.

Windows broken: Robert Veres of 409 Gladden Road told Canonsburg police Sunday that two windows on his home and the windshield of his pickup truck were broken.

Window broken: A window was reported broken Sunday at the former Tiny Store, 314 W. Pike St., Canonsburg police said.

Witness intimidation charge: Michael Maiden, 38, of 35 Maple St., Muse, was arrested Sunday by Cecil police on charges of intimidating a witness, tampering with evidence and possession of paraphernalia. He is accused of calling a potential witness in the arrest of Jackie Gardner a snitch. Gardner, 33, of Eighty Four, was arrested Friday by township police on charges of access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property. She was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond. Maiden was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Man jailed: Val Smith, 18, of 911 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with two counts each of simple assault and harassment and one count of criminal mischief, court records show. Police accuse Smith of choking a 16-year-old girl in the 600 block of Cherry Alley about 6:20 p.m. Nov. 13 and then punching Shawna Seithman in the face when she tried to intervene. Smith was placed in Washington County jail on $35,000 bond set Thursday by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Taken into custody: State police took four people into custody early Monday who are suspected of burglarizing a pharmacy in Masontown, Fayette County. Police received a report that the suspects were in a silver Cadillac sport utility vehicle that was last seen traveling west on Interstate 70 near the Beau Street exit, South Strabane. Police conducted a felony stop at the Claysville exit ramp. A large amount of pills were found in the vehicle, police said. The suspects were turned over to the federal Drug Enforcement Agency and taken to Pittsburgh.

Woman arrested: Toni Lynn Ducloi, 45, of 212 Shady Ave., Charleroi, was arrested early Sunday by Donora police on charges of criminal use of a communications facility, receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license after she allegedly drove a pickup truck she took from Charleroi the previous night to buy drugs in Donora. Charleroi Regional police also charged her with unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft and receiving stolen property. She was arraigned on all of the charges before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $3,500 bond.

Theft case: Craig A. Kerfonta, 31, of 528 Park Ave., Monongahela, is charged by city police with two counts of theft, accused of stealing a vehicle impounded at Lenzi Service Center, 149 E. Main St., Sept. 27 or 28, court records show. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set Thursday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Drug arrest: Candice Esper, 44, of 410 Second St., Monongahela, was arrested Sunday on a warrant obtained by the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force on charges of criminal use of a communications facility and possession and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance for allegedly selling Oxycontin to a confidential informant on two occasions in August. She was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and released from Washington County jail after posting $2,500 bond.

One injured: Denise Kohut, 47, of 800 Beech St., Monongahela, was injured Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Route 519 at Dooley Street, North Strabane police said. She was driving north when she missed the turn into a driveway at 1280 Route 519. Police said she turned around in another driveway and was going south when she turned into the path of a vehicle driven by John Baker, 18, of Mt. Pleasant, as she attempted the turn at 1280 Route 519. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.

Lawn ornament stolen: Carol Johnston of 1216 Bruce St. told Washington police a lawn ornament was stolen Saturday from outside her home.

Wallet stolen: Melissa Clipp of Bentleyville told Washington police a wallet, a pack of cigarettes and $8 were stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 10 block of East Beau Street.

Helmet stolen: Katie Imler of 140 Elm St. told Washington police Friday her white, full-faced motorcycle helmet was stolen from her motorcycle. She also reported Christmas decorations stolen from a basement storage area at the residence.

Burglary charge: Nathaniel R. Freedman, 32, of 720 ½ E. Maiden St., was placed in Washington County jail on charges of burglary and theft for allegedly stealing items from his neighbor’s garage. City police were called to the home of Nelson Wade, 730 E. Maiden St., Monday for a report of a battery charger, extension cords, jumper cables and an antique propane tank being stolen from his garage. Police said the items were found in Freedman’s driveway. Freedman was arraigned Monday before District Judge Robert Redlinger and jailed on $20,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Dec. 21.

Indecent assault charge: Jesse G. Lowther Jr., 56, of 306 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, is charged with aggravated indecent assault of a child after an investigation by Washington police. The complaint alleges Lowther inappropriately touched a then-6-year-old victim Jan. 1, 2012, at a residence on Fayette Street. Lowther was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger Monday and is free on unsecured bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Dec. 21.

Drug charges: Maryann Garove, 61, and Jacob Knoneberg, 24, of 34 Old National Pike Road, West Alexander, and Dillon Oliver, 23, of 2021 Beham Ridge Road, Claysville, are charged with one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct after Washington police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle Oct. 31. Upon arrival at the parking lot on Jefferson Avenue near the Interstate 70 overpass, officers said they found the three in a car with a hypodermic needle and 25 empty stamp bags that police believe had contained heroin. Charges will be sent by summons.

Interlock charge: James D. Hatfield, 53, of 531 S. Main St., will be charged with failing to use an Interlock ignition device and failure to use a turn signal after he was pulled over Oct. 29. According to state police, Hatfield is required to use the device but was driving his girlfriend’s car when he failed to use his turn signal to make a right turn from West Chestnut Street to Washington Street. Police said a test revealed his blood-alcohol content was 0.067 percent. Charges will be sent by summons.
