Officials: Student, 7, sticks classmates with needle
PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Officials say a 7-year-old student in Philadelphia stuck five classmates with a hypodermic needle.
Officials say Tuesday’s incident at the George Meade Elementary School involves kindergarten through second-grade students. A second needle also was confiscated.
Parents were notified and the children were referred to doctors for examinations.
Police are trying to determine where the needles came from and whether any were contaminated.
No arrests have been made.
