Parkway closure planned tonight
The inbound lanes of the Parkway West (Interstate 376) will be closed from 9 p.m. today to 10 a.m. Saturday between the Interstate 79 interchange and Parkway Center Drive so crews can do grinding work on various bridge decks. A detour will be posted.
Students at Greene County Career and Technical Center made final preparations Thursday for their holiday buffet lunch that runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. The lunch inside the technical school costs $12 for adults and $8 for children 12 and younger.
Carmichaels First United Methodist Church at 104 W. South St. will hold a Blue Christmas Service at 4 p.m. Sunday where anyone can light a candle to remember a loved one. There will also be a Greene County Hymn Sing at 7 p.m. Sunday.
