No injuries in fire at Washington Penn Plastics

Several fire departments were called to an overnight fire at Washington Penn Plastics’ Performance Products plant on Route 136 in South Strabane Township. Washington County 911 said a fire was reported in the ventilation system just before 5 a.m. The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported. Washington Penn Plastics manufactures polypropylene compounds and polyethylene products.
