Greene County Public Participation Panel, which provides local input into the state’s Transportation Improvement Plan, will meet at 3 p.m. today in Stover Hall at Waynesburg University. The workshop is to update the panel on its responsibilities and its role in the regional transportation process, to discuss funding and the status of the four-year Transportation Improvement Plan.

This month’s community dinner at Rogersville United Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall will be held a week earlier than usual because of Christmas. The dinner will be 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. The meal will include meatloaf, parsley potatoes, corn, applesauce, dessert and a beverage. The dinner is free and everyone is welcome, although donations are accepted. Carryout also is available. Harmony Presbyterian Church of Wind Ridge will host a Christmas Musical theater and covered dish dinner at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The musical play “Star of Wonder” will include members from Harmony and Nebo Methodist churches and the community. A dinner follows the play, and the church is providing the meat, rolls and beverage. The Community Sewing Circle of Time will meet Friday for an all-day meeting in the social room at the Union Valley United Methodist Church in Graysville. Betsy Day will be hostess and program leader. Word for roll call is joy.
