PITTSBURGH (AP) — A Pittsburgh transit bus driver and three passengers have been hurt after the bus was hit by a car whose driver may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Port Authority of Allegheny County spokesman Adam Brandolph says the crash happened about 9 a.m. Friday downtown. The driver of a sedan crossed into a bus lane and hit the transit vehicle head-on.

The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, but other details weren’t immediately available.

The bus driver was taken to Allegheny General Hospital while the three passengers were taken to UPMC Mercy.

Police didn’t immediately release their names, or the name of the car’s driver, who was arrested at the scene.
