Trailer wreck on I-70 E interchange
A tractor-trailer carrying almond and rice milk products overturned near the south junction of interstates 70 and 79 Monday. The tractor-trailer was on the eastbound ramp to Interstate 70 when it crashed.
The driver was taken to Washington Hospital with minor injuries, state police said, after the accident spilled the rig’s contents about 4:50 p.m. Debris and shredded pieces of guide rail littered the side of the ramp.
Police said the unidentified driver and walking around at the hospital, but could not provide further information. The ramp to I-70 eastbound was clear and traffic was moving smoothly as authorities said they would not move the trailer from its spot until Tuesday daylight hours when it would be safer to extract.
