FLINTSTONE (AP) – A Western Pennsylvania man has been jailed on charges he set fire to a stolen car with a passed out teenage girl inside.

State police say 33-year-old Michael Logsdon was afraid the girl might tell authorities about the car theft.

Troopers say the Hyndman man stole the car then picked up the girl to go joyriding. The car became stuck when he tried to jump it over an embankment early Tuesday in Bedford County.

That’s when police say Logsdon walked to another teenage girl’s home and grabbed some kerosene before asking her for a ride back to the disabled car.

Police say Logsdon set the car on fire but that the second girl rescued the passed out teen when she saw her inside.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Logsdon.
