Truck driver injured in crash identified

State police at Troop T identified the driver slightly injured when his coal truck crashed just after noon Thursday on the ramp to the Mon-Fayette Expressway from Route 40.

Robert J. Pannunzio, 60, of Monroeville, failed to negotiate a sharp right curve. The truck partially went off the road and flipped on its left side, spilling a load of coal.

Pannunzio was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. He will be cited with failure to stay in his lane.
