DUI charge: Kelsey Rose McGuire, 24, of Powhatan, Ohio, will be charged by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from a one-vehicle crash Feb. 18 on Interstate 70 eastbound east of the Claysville exit, Buffalo.

Drug arrest: Hannah Jalyn Teska, 23, of 841 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Tuesday by Charleroi Regional police stemming from a Jan. 17 incident in the 600 block of Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi. She is charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia after she was found with the suspected drug during a traffic stop. She was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and released on $25,000 unsecured bond.

Resisting, disorderly charges: Donald Stanley Knupp Jr., 27, of 246 E. Prospect St., Washington, was arrested Wednesday by state police at The Meadows Casino stemming from an incident early Sunday at the casino on Racetrack Road, North Strabane. He is accused of causing a disturbance at Vibe Lounge. He reportedly refused to leave the casino in a timely manner and then confronted a trooper, yelling obscenities. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of resisting arrest. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Charged in crash: Lara Shanahan, 46, of 1360 Meadowbrook Drive, North Strabane, was charged Monday by North Strabane police with reckless endangerment, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and reckless driving stemming from a Jan. 10 crash on Route 19 near Zeman Drive. Police said she was under the influence of alcohol and Alprazolam when she reportedly struck the rear of one vehicle, knocking it across Route 19 into the path on an oncoming vehicle that hit it. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

PFA violation: Police arrested Gerald Tew, 58, of Teaberry Road, Bedford, at 7:21 p.m. Tuesday for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse order. According to reports, police responded to a call about a suspicious car in the 100 block of Clearview Drive, McMurray. Upon arrival, police found Tew and discovered he was in violation of a PFA order obtained by Karen Reynolds from Judge Michael Lucas in September. Tew was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Burglary reported: Police are investigating a burglary Tuesday afternoon at Lakeside Plaza, 4080 Washington Road, McMurray. Police said 16 bags of salt, two bags of calcium chloride and two snow shovels were missing from the plaza’s mechanical room. There were no signs of forced entry and the incident remains under investigation.

Theft charge: Zachary W. Eidens, 23, of 1445 Weirich Ave., Canton Township, was charged Friday by state police with theft, receiving stolen property and retail theft for allegedly stealing flea and tick medication from Petco, Trinity Point, last September and selling it at a Washington resale store. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

DUI crash: Trevor J. Johnson, 38, of 324 Woodland Road, Charleroi, was charged Tuesday by state police with DUI and other traffic violations after his vehicle crashed into the median of Interstate 70 eastbound near the south junction with Interstate 79, South Strabane, on Feb. 1. His blood-alcohol content was more than three times the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Retail theft: Amanda Lea Molinaro, 32, of 984 Jefferson Ave., Washington, will be charged by South Strabane police with retail theft after she allegedly put five shirts valued at $125 in her purse while at Kohl’s, Strabane Square, Tuesday. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
