Man jailed: Clarence Shrader, 64, whose last known address was on S Bridge Road in South Franklin Township, is charged by Mt. Pleasant police with making false alarms, false reports to 911 and harassment over accusations he reported a false vehicle fire about 12:40 p.m. Dec. 24, court records show. He is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Fleeing, paraphernalia charges: Roman Vukmanovich, 22, of Pittsburgh, will be charged by South Strabane police with fleeing or attempting to elude police, possession of paraphernalia and traffic charges stemming from an incident Wednesday afternoon. Police were called to Wal-Mart, Trinity Point, for a report of a retail theft when they spotted his vehicle. Police said he sped up and passed another vehicle on the snow-covered berm. He then turned onto Clare Drive, where he stopped abruptly. Police stopped him and took him into custody. Vukmanovich was placed in Washington County jail on a warrant obtained by Monongahela police stemming from an incident last March. He was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson on charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault, tampering with evidence, fleeing or attempting to elude police and reckless driving. He was released from jail Wednesday night after posting $25,000 bond.
One injured: Kylie Miller, 19, of Finleyville-Elrama Road, Union, was injured Saturday morning in a one-vehicle crash on Finleyville-Elrama, Southwest Regional police. She had to be freed from the wreckage by Finleyville firefighters. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Prescription stolen: Francis Kovacek of McChain Road told Southwest Regional police Saturday prescription medication was stolen from his mailbox. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.
