One dead after fire in Pittsburgh-area home

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Authorities in Western Pennsylvania say one person died in an early morning fire in a Pittsburgh-area home.

Allegheny County emergency dispatchers say the blaze was reported shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday in Indiana Township, about 15 miles northeast of Pittsburgh

A forensic investigator with the medical examiner’s office said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.

The county fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
