Lions Club honors students of month
WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg Central High School seniors Ayana Sicheri and Dominick Sarra were selected by the high school faculty as Waynesburg Lions Club’s students of the month for December.
Sicheri, a daughter of Melissa Zchezalo and Ken Sicheri, Waynesburg, maintains a 3.75 grade-point average.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, drama club, Alpha, art club, creative writing club, French Club, Academic League, Youth Alive and Spanish club.
She has received academic achievement awards in Spanish and English and a PSSA gold medal.
She is a member of Waynesburg Baptist Church where she participates in the youth group and church choir. Her special interests include quilting, sewing and reading.
Sicheri plans to attend a four-year university and major in international studies.
Sarra, a son of Dave and Suzanne Sarra, Waynesburg, maintains a 3.0 grade-point average.
He is a member of National Honor Society, president of the varsity club and is an office worker at the high school.
He is a member of the high school football and basketball teams.
Sarra is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and participates in a youth basketball boot camps every Sunday during basketball season.
He plans to attend a four-year college and pursue a degree in the engineering field.
