Vehicle overturns: Michael R. Harris, 56, of Washington, escaped injury Monday when his eastbound pickup truck went off Route 40 near Sunset Beach Road, Buffalo, traveled up an embankment and overturned, state police said.
DUI, disorderly charges: Christopher Bushey, 22, of Cavetown, Md., will be charged by California police with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive at a safe speed and disorderly conduct stemming from a traffic stop early Tuesday. Police said he yelled obscenities at officers during the stop. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Warrant arrest: Caleb Lee Sams, 29, of 220 Ketchum Court, was taken into custody Wednesday by Canonsburg police on a bench warrant issued in November 2013 by Judge Edward Borkowski for Sams’ failure to appear in court on a drunken driving charge. He was placed in Washington County jail.
Driver injured: Charleroi Regional police are investigating a one-vehicle crash about 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of McKean Avenue. Police arrived and found a vehicle on its roof in the middle of the street. An unconscious man was inside the vehicle. He was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. Information on his identity was not available Wednesday morning.
DUI charge: Tyler Marie Pugh, 21, of 1205 Pioneer Trail, Canonsburg, was charged Tuesday by North Strabane police with DUI stemming from a Nov. 26 crash on McDowell Lane. Police said her blood-alcohol content was almost 2 ½ times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed when her vehicle hit a culvert and rolled over. She was taken to UPMC-Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh, for treatment. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Charged in crash: Chester J. Lesjak, 36, of 325 Summit Ave., Canonsburg, was charged Wednesday by state police in connection with a two-vehicle crash Aug. 26 in which his passenger was injured. Police said Lesjak was going north on Interstate 79 in North Strabane near the Houston exit when he allegedly crashed into another vehicle. Police said he got off at the Houston exit, got out of his pickup truck and walked away. He was charged with DUI, accidents involving injury when driving without a valid license, leaving the scene of a crash and traffic violations. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Charged in assaults: Matthew Lee Mohr, 39, and his ex-girlfriend, Stephanie Diane Jones, 42, both of 20 Donley Road, Eighty Four, are each charged by state police with simple assault and harassment stemming from a domestic incident at their residence about 7 p.m. Tuesday, court records show. Mohr and Jones are free on $5,000 bonds set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Theft: Police are investigating the theft of $114 worth of nicotine gum from the Giant Eagle in the 4000 block of Washington Road. According to reports, a man and woman in their late 20s entered the store Jan. 13 and were seen looking at men’s cologne and nicotine gum. When they left the store, two packages of nicotine gum were missing.
Burglary: A diamond ring and an X-box gaming system, along with several games, were reported missing Jan. 13 from a home on Bridle Trail.
Assault arrests: Police charged William J. Lehner, 72, and Gloria Lehner, 65, both of 105 Farmview Place, following an alleged physical altercation Tuesday night at their home. According to police, William Lehner had a bite mark on his arm, while Gloria Lehner had a contusion above her eye. Both were charged with simple assault. He was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released on her own recognizance.
Interlock violation alleged: Christine M. Rosetti, 43, of Pittsburgh, was charged Monday by state police with operating a vehicle not equipped with an interlock system after she wrecked her vehicle on Interstate 79 southbound near the Meadow Lands exit Jan. 3. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Burglary reports: Washington police investigated three separate burglaries Monday and Tuesday. A door was broken to enter a Uni-Mart, 500 N. Main St., to steal lottery tickets and cigarettes valued at $1,500 in a crime reported Monday. A garage in the 400 block of Fayette Street was entered between Nov. 1 and Tuesday to steal lawn tools valued at $475, city police said. A weed trimmer, amplifier and rototiller valued at $600 were reported stolen at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday from a shed in the 500 block of West Chestnut Street, police said.
