Waynesburg man pleads guilty to burglary charge

WAYNESBURG – A Waynesburg man is being evaluated by the department of corrections for participation in the state intermediate punishment program after he pleaded guilty earlier this month in Greene County Court.

Alex Justin Uveges, 23, of 325 Zimmer Lane, Waynesburg was charged with burglary, theft by unlawful taking, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. Uveges was arrested by Waynesburg Borough police and chargd with the Aug. 31 burglary at 511 N. Richhill St. Police said Uveges broke into the house, owned by his father, also named Alex Uveges, that was being rented to Rebecca Geisel and Chris Goepper. A laptop computer and other items were stolen.
