Assault charge: William Whipkey, 36, of 1101 Crucible Road, Rices Landing, faces numerous charges after Cumberland Township police said he grabbed a woman by her neck inside his home and threatened her with a knife June 23. Whipkey ran from the house after police arrived. Police on Wednesday charged Whipkey with terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment, child endangerment, disorderly conduct and flight to avoid apprehension.
Child endangerment charge: Jessica Gamble, 27, of 42 Route 21 Estates, was charged with child endangerment after Cumberland Township police said a child she was watching left the residence and was found wandering in the neighborhood June 25.
Bike stolen: Robert Kendall reported to city police that his electrobike, valued at more than $1,100, was stolen from outside the Hidden Treasure on West Chestnut Street at about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Vandalism: David Hilipala, of the 300 block of Duncan Avenue, reported Twuesday that his garage door had been broken. It did not appear that the garage had been accessed.
