Ring stolen: Darla Karposs of 1013 First St. told Canonsburg police Wednesday that a white gold diamond ring was stolen from her home.

Wallet stolen: Denis Gillespie of 6122 Caledonia Court, Bridgeville, told police July 8 someone stole his wallet, which contained $17 iand credit cards, from the glovebox of his unlocked vehicle while he was doing paving work on Network Drive in the Alto Piano housing development.

Welding leads stolen: Dennis Lawrence of White Cloud, Mich., told North Franklin police Wednesday that 200 feet of welding leads that were padlocked to his pickup truck were stolen while the vehicle was parked at Day’s Inn, 1370 W. Chestnut St.

Items stolen: Matthew Loss of Leola, Lancaster County, told North Franklin police July 1 that his medication, two portable radios and two backpacks were stolen from his work truck while it was parked at the Ramada Inn, 1170 W. Chestnut St.

Ambulance crashes: One person was injured when an ambulance from Fayette EMS and another vehicle collided Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Boone Avenue and Chartiers Street. North Strabane police said the ambulance, driven by Kristen M. Rogers, 24, of Morgantown, W.Va., was driving west on Boone when she was unable to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by Jessica L. Francis, 18, of 500 Cherryhill Drive, Bridgeville. Francis was treated at the scene by Rogers and then taken to Canonsburg Hospital. A patient who was in the ambulance, Norman William, 58, of Slovan, was transferred to a Canonsburg Ambulance and also taken to the hospital.

Harassment charges: Michael B. Dazen, 58, of Wexford, was charged Monday with two counts of harassment by North Strabane police for allegedly placing harassing telephone calls and sending similar emails to Anthony Horbal of Waterdam Road last month. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Two charged: Robert H. Toliver, 49, of 52 Sumner Ave., Washington, and Kimberly Strawn, 43, of 819 Ewing St., Washington, were charged by North Strabane police with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a June 13 traffic stop on Route 19 at Demar Boulevard. Strawn also was charged with traffic violations. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Underage drinking, driving charges: Nicole L. Francis, 20, of Wheeling, W.Va., was charged by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, underage drinking and several traffic violations stemming from a May 31 traffic stop on Interstate 79 near the Houston exit in North Strabane. Police said her blood-alcohol content was 8 1/2 times the 0.02 percent level at which intoxication is presumed for those younger than 21. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Teen driver charged: Taylor Rebecca McConnell, 19, of 110 Ruth Way, McDonald, was charged last week by North Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol and a minor driving under the influence of alcohol. Her vehicle went off Sleepy Hollow Road on June 27 and became wedged against a tree, police said, and she kept spinning the wheels of her vehicle in an attempt to free it. Police said her blood-alcohol content was almost 10 times the 0.02 percent level at which intoxication is presumed for drivers younger than 21.

Money stolen: Michael Lee Mercer, 53, of Fairmont, W.Va., was charged last week by state police with theft of mislaid property after he allegedly stole $20 from a wallet he had found at The Meadows Casino, Racetrack Road, North Strabane, on July 18, 2014. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Voucher stolen: Jeffrey R. Mroz, 47, of 1623 Grimm Drive, Washington, was charged last week by state police with theft of mislaid property for allegedly playing on a $159.40 voucher left behind by another man on one of the machines at The Meadows Casino, Racetrack Road, North Strabane, on Aug. 12, 2014. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Money stolen: Melissa Patterson, 41, of Weirton, W.Va., was charged last week with theft by North Strabane police after she allegedly stole $40 from a purse at Consulate Health Care, 100 Tandem Road, on June 25. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Lewdness arrest: Robert Neil Bozic, 61, of 9312 Noblestown Road, Robinson, was arrested by McDonald police about 7:30 a.m. Thursday after police received several complaints that he was walking around nude outside his home. When police arrived, they said he was wearing only an unbuttoned, long-sleeve shirt. When told he was under arrest, Bozic allegedly told the officer, “All this because I was outside my residence naked.” He was arraigned before Senior District Judge Jay Dutton on a charge of open lewdness and released on $2,500 unsecured bond.

Theft charges: Matthew Petrucci, 30, of 111 Bayard Ave., Rices Landing, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with theft by deception and retail theft for allegedly stealing merchandise from Walmart, Trinity Point, and returning it for a gift card. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Drug charges: Casey Alexandra Ivery, 23, of 664 Western Ave., Chartiers Township, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with possession of heroin and paraphernalia after she allegedly left the items behind in a room at Motel 6, 1283 Motel 6 Drive, on June 7. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft charge: Shawn S. Pusateri, 31, of 8 Munce Road, Washington, was charged Tuesday with theft by South Strabane police after he allegedly stole a man’s wallet from a counter at Game Stop, Trinity Point, on May 9. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Charged in stop: Nicholas P. Slavonia, 25, of 277 Davidson Drive, Charleroi, was charged Wednesday by state police with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, driving under the influence of marijuana and other drugs and careless driving stemming from a May 31 traffic stop on Interstate 79 near the south junction with Interstate 70, South Strabane. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Charged in chase: Robert A. Walker Jr., 38, of 616-A S. Central Ave., Canonsburg, was charged this week by state police in connection with a June 23 pursuit during which a construction zone flagger was almost hit. Police said Walker pulled away quickly from the Jessop Place park-n-ride, Canton, and got on Interstate 70. Police said he got off at Murtland Avenue and continued onto Oak Springs Road and Locust Avenue, where he nearly hit the flagger. Police said they terminated the pursuit when Walker hit a speed of 90 mph but were able to identify him as the driver. Charges of fleeing and eluding police, reckless endangerment and several traffic violations will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Warrant arrest: Shavon Marie Moze, 36, of 15 N. Main St., Washington, was taken into custody about 1 a.m. Thursday by Washington police on a felony warrant charging her with theft for allegedly stealing eight firearms belonging to Robert Gatling from a residence on East Hallam Avenue on May 11. Moze was arrested while walking near her home. Police said they found her in possession of two rocks of suspected cocaine. She was arraigned on the theft charges before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Harassment charge: Timothy Ruffin, 51, of 95 Maple Ave. will be charged with harassment by Washington police after he allegedly hit his 44-year-old wife, Lori Ruffin, during a confrontation at their home about 3:45 a.m. Thursday.

Man assaulted: Roger Anderson, 72, of Claysville, reportedly was assaulted by two men after he accidentally struck a dog with his car in Washington’s West End on Wednesday. He told police he had to crawl under his vehicle to get away from his assailants. One of the men also kicked the side of Anderson’s vehicle. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Police are attempting to identify those involved.

Window damaged: Robert Lavelle of Washington told Washington police Wednesday that the rear driver’s side window of his vehicle was damaged while the vehicle was parked in the lot at Shop ‘n Save, West Beau Street.
