Task force arrests six on drug charges
The Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force arrested six people on drug charges Thursday, bringing the total arrests for the week to 10.
Arrested were Aaron P. Trilli, 28, of 22 Meldon Ave., Donora; Peri Leroy Youngblood Sr., 47, Peri Leroy Youngblood Jr., 22, and Savannah Gilmer, 29, all of 990 Thompson Ave., Donora; James Lee Williams Jr., 66, of 18 Ridge St., Clarksville; and Leonard Dean Blanchon, 31, 217 Home St., McDonald. McDonald police also filed drug charges against Blanchon.
Trilli, the Youngbloods and Gilmer are accused of selling heroin to confidential informants in Donora.
Trilli reportedly sold heroin to the informant July 6, 8 and 9. Task force detectives obtained a warrant to search a home in Donora on Thursday. When they entered the home, detectives found Trilli running from the living room to a staircase. He was taken into custody. Detectives found him with $300, 263 stamp bags of suspected heroin and two cellphones.
Peri Youngblood Sr. reportedly sold a total of 28 stamp bags to an informant on April 28 and 30. Peri Youngblood Jr. allegedly sold 10 stamp bags on May 3 while Gilmer sold an informant 10 stamp bags on July 6. All of the sales took place outside their home at 990 Thompson.
Williams was arrested following a seven-month investigation into heroin trafficking in and around his East Bethlehem Township home. In April, police obtained a search warrant from Judge Gary Gilman for his home. Police found a Taurus .38-caliber revolver, Cobra .22-caliber pistol, 26 stamp bags of heroin, marijuana, paraphernalia and $694. Williams, who has previous felony convictions, was also charged with person not to possess firearms.
Task force detectives received information in December that Blanchon was allegedly selling heroin in and around the Cecil Township area. A confidential informant reportedly purchased heroin from Blanchon on two occasions in January and February in Cecil.
Blanchon reportedly sold 57 stamp bags to a confidential informant working for both the task force and McDonald police in November 2013.
“We will continue to aggressively go after those dealing poison in our communities,” said Washington County District Attorney Eugene Vittone.
Trilli, both Youngbloods, Gilmer and Williams were arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller. Trilli was placed in Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond while the other four are in on $25,000 bond. Blanchon was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in jail on $50,000 bond.
