Motorists can expect to see new traffic patterns when they travel Interstate 70 in the area of Murtland Avenue interchange.

The existing Interstate 70 west to Route 19 south Exit 19A off-ramp was closed Friday afternoon and motorists wanting to proceed to Route 19 south will exit (prior to crossing over Route 19) on the existing Exit 19B off-ramp then make a left at the bottom of the ramp at a temporary signalized intersection.

Motorists traveling on Route 19 can also expect to see traffic pattern changes between the intersection with Oak Spring Road and the intersection with Trinity Point Drive. Motorists traveling Route 19 north wanting to proceed to Interstate 70 west will now have to enter on a temporary ramp by making a left at a temporary signalized intersection after crossing under Interstate 70.

All lanes of traffic will be open east and west and 11-foot lane restrictions are in effect. The work is part of the $51 million Interstate 70 diverging diamond project at the Murtland interchange.
