PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh police say a man found shot multiple times in the city’s crime-ridden Homewood neighborhood was found near a small bag of marijuana and a handgun.

Police believe the gun and drugs belong to the victim, a 40-year-old man whose name hasn’t been released.

Police say officers and paramedics were called to the scene about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

The victim was taken to UPMC Presbyterian hospital where he was in critical condition.

Police say another black man was seen running away from the scene, wearing a white hooded sweat shirt. Police haven’t released the name of a suspect or filed any charges in the shooting.
